the other cover

I don't consider myself a fan of Kate Moss - actually I've critisized her in this blog a few times -, however I live in the country that has seen her born and that contributes to spread her myth with the easy verbal diarrhoa from tabloids. Thereby, I have no option but to pay her attention and I recognize I was curious to see her wedding pictures taken by Mario Testino.

And here it is her cover for the US Vogue, a good example of a well-done cover:

a. the socialité selected is a model, that is, she knows how to pose with grace. Models should be on catwalks and covers, singers on stage and actresses on films.

b. the pose is good, although I would have prefered that Kate would stop pulling her head poses.

c. the dress is Alexander McQueen.

d. the photoshopping is excesive - nobody would put the real Kate on a cover - but appropiate for a mainstrem american fashion magazine.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  2. I'm really over their awkward angles, they are tacky and I don't think this is any better. Glad they didn't use Leibovitz it would've been so much worse.
